The Blue Hill/Surry Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday, February 4th due to extreme temperatures and potential damage to hydraulics. The Transfer Station will reopen for normal hours Tuesday, January 6th.
Due to interior floor work, the Town Hall will be closed on Friday. We will be reopen for normal business on Monday, February 6th.

Town Hall will open at 10am on Thursday, January 26th, due to poor road conditions.
The Town of Blue Hill offices are closed for the remainder of the day due to poor weather conditions. We will resume normal hours tomorrow, Tuesday, January 24th.
Monday’s regularly scheduled Select Board Meeting is moved to Tuesday, January 24th at 5:30pm.
The Town Office will be closed today, November 8, 2022 for normal business. Town Hall is open for voting and our office staff will be fulfilling their duties with respect to the elections upstairs in the Gordon Emerson Auditorium.
Since the Town Hall front steps are still under construction, please use the side entrance (facing George Stevens Academy) to the building and follow the signs to reach the auditorium for voting. Once inside, voters can either take the stairs or use the elevator to reach the polls.
The Town Office will reopen for normal business tomorrow at 8:00am.
The Budget Review Committee (BRC) will meet at Blue Hill Town Hall on October 4 @ 6:30pm. Representatives from the George Stevens Academy (GSA) Finance Committee will be attending and presenting their final draft budget for 2022-23.
The BRC is comprised of town-appointed representatives from Surry, Penobscot, Sedgwick, Brooklin, Brooksville, Castine, and Blue Hill who work with George Stevens Academy in the formulation and development of the GSA annual budget. Committee goals include improving transparency and accountability of the GSA funds derived from the towns taxpayer, reviewing revenue input and expenditures, monitoring and making recommendations, inputs, and/or comments as appropriate in the development of the GSA budget.
