The Falls Bridge, on Falls Bridge Rd., will be closed during portions of the daytime hours from Monday, April 19, 2021 to Friday, April 23, 2021.
MaineDOT’s sub-consultant, New England Boring Contractors, will be conducting geotechnical exploration on the Falls Bridge #5038 on Route 175 in Blue Hill beginning Monday, April 19th. This work will require that the bridge be closed during daylight drilling operations which will be between the hours of 7:30am and 4:30pm. It is anticipated that the work will take four days to complete. The Region will be installing variable message boards starting Monday, April 12th to alert motorists to the bridge closure and detour route along Route 172. New England Boring Contractors will be setting up and removing the detour/bridge closure signage daily.
