Maine DOT has informed the Town that it has selected Cianbro, a Maine-based construction firm, to perform the replacement of the Falls Bridge in South Blue Hill.
The work is expected to begin in spring 2022 and to last through spring 2024. A temporary, one-lane bridge will be constructed on the Salt Pond side of the existing bridge. The road is expected to be closed from time to time over the construction period, but Cianbro is limited to a total of 60 days of closure/detour.
