MaineDOT Work on Tenney Hill/Main St. Starting Sept. 8

A MaineDOT contractor will be working on the storm drain system in the vicinity of the intersection of Tenney Hill/Main St. and Parker Point Road (roughly between the Congregational Church and Town Hall). The work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 8 and is expected to continue through the rest of the week.

Temporary No Parking Areas. The construction crews will require access to the catch basins along this segment of the road, some of which are on the curb side of marked parking spaces. MaineDOT and the contractor will be placing cones with “NO PARKING” signs where the work will take place, and will move these cones to preserve empty parking spaces as the work progresses.

Potential Single-Lane Traffic. Although the crew hopes to avoid needing to close any of the traffic lanes, this may prove to be necessary. If so, the contractor will have flaggers in place to coordinate alternating traffic in a single open lane.
