The Town of Blue Hill is assembling a Steering Committee and an Advisory Committee to help guide our Safe Streets for All planning process. This process is funded largely through a federal grant and is intended to make our streets safer for all users.
The purpose of the Steering Committee is to review, guide, and implement the Safe Streets for All planning process and Action Plan, including soliciting, hiring, and working with consultants, engaging the community, providing Action Plan feedback, and assisting with demonstration project implementation. The Steering Committee will meet on average once a month.
The Advisory Committee will be comprised of people representing different constituent groups who will help the Steering Committee gather input from and share pertinent information with their respective constituencies. The Advisory Committee will meet on an as-needed basis to assist with flow of communication and feedback for the duration of the project.
If you are interested in serving on either committee, please reach out to Alifaire Noreen, anoreen@bluehillme.gov and Amanda Woog, awoog@bluehillme.gov by 9 AM Thursday, October 29th. There will also be many opportunities to provide feedback and thoughts throughout the process, so if serving on a committee does not work for you, there will still be opportunities to participate.
