The Bridge Advisory Committee was formed in 2017 to provide local advice and feedback to MaineDOT as it evaluates alternatives for the repair or replacement of the Falls Bridge at the reversing falls between the Salt Pond and Blue Hill Bay in South Blue Hill.
This historic bridge, constructed in 1926 (replacing an earlier bridge), is in a severe state of deterioration and is in need of very substantial repairs or replacement.
