There will be a Planning Board hearing scheduled for February 9th, 2022 @ 5:30 to discuss the building expansion for Northern Light Blue Hill Hospital. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. Continue reading “Planning Board Hearing Scheduled”The Blue Hill Broadband Committee, together with the Broadband Committees of Brooksville, Deer Isle, and Penobscot, issued a report on the status of the four towns’ efforts to bring broadband internet to every location in their municipalities.
The report is available at this link. It is organized so the first four pages provide a summary of the process and recommendations; the remainder of the report is detail for those who want to pursue a deeper dive into the committees’ work.
Dog licenses are available at the Town Office. If you register your dog prior to 1/31, a late fee will not be assessed. After 1/31, a state mandated fine of $25 will be added to your license fee.
Please have a current rabies vaccination statement prior to arriving at the Town Hall.
Online burn permits are now free through the State of Maine online portal.
Burn permits are also available through our Fire Chief, Matthew Dennison. Please call the Town Hall if you would like to obtain a burn permit through our office instead of the online portal.
The warrant for the December 6 Special Town Meeting has been signed and posted. A copy of the warrant can be downloaded here.
The Town of Blue Hill winter storm parking ban is in effect from November 1 through May 1. Parking on the street is prohibited during storms and inclement weather.

Effective immediately, the Select Board has approved a six-month moratorium on all cemetery plot sales.

At an August 12 meeting of the Bridge Advisory Committee, MaineDOT gave what may be its final presentation on the plans to replace the Falls Bridge.
