The Select Board will meet, primarily in executive session to discuss personnel matters, at the conclusion of today’s Blue Hill/Surry Solid Waste Committee meeting.
The Select Board will meet at 1:30pm to discuss the search process for a new Town Administrator. It is anticipated that the meeting will be held primarily in executive session and that no action will be taken. The meeting will not be available to remote users.
This evening’s scheduled Marine Resource Committee meeting has been canceled. It is anticipated that the MRC will meet on April 18.

Continue reading “Blue Hill 2022 Election Results”The Warrant for the Town’s 2022 Annual Town Meeting was posted on Thursday, together with a copy of the proposed amended and restated Shoreland Zoning Ordinance, in the lobby of the Town Hall and at the entrance of Tradewinds Marketplace. The Warrant is unchanged from the version printed in the 2021 Town Report; there have been some changes to the Shoreland Zoning Ordinance previously posted.

The Army Corps of Engineers has informed the Town that its final report has been approved, and that the “feasibility phase” of the proposed dredging project is nearing completion. This post provides access to the full report, including exhibits.

The proposed next steps are a public hearing to provide further information on the ordinance and to take any comments from the public (to be scheduled in the next four weeks) and to seek Town approval of the amended ordinance at this year’s Annual Town Meeting.
Effective immediately, the Select Board has approved a six-month moratorium on all cemetery plot sales.
