Roads and Sidewalks

Road Commissioner

The Road Commissioner for the Town of Blue Hill is an appointed position who is in charge of the maintenance, repair of the town roads and sidewalks, including snow removal.  The Maine Department of Transportation (MDOT) is in charge of the maintenance and repair of state roads and bridges.

Snow Plow Routes

For the 2025-26 winter season, Blue Hill’s public roads are plowed/cleared by three entities: MDOT (for State roads) and Runnells Industries and the Town’s Public Works staff for Town and State-aid roads:
