Thursday, March 27 at 6pm
Want to have a pre-Town Meeting peek at what your 2025 property taxes might be?
- Have want to understand the referendum questions (voted on April 4) or the various appropriations to be considered at the open town meeting on April 5?
- Have questions about the budget underlying those appropriations?
- Want to educate yourself about any other Town Meeting articles before the actual meeting?
The Blue Hill Select Board will hold a public meeting on Thursday, March 27 at 6:00pm in the Town Hall auditorium to address these matters. If you haven’t already seen the 2024 Annual Report and 2025 Town Meeting warrant, please download a copy.
Public Hearing on the GSA Excess Tuition Payment
The meeting will begin with a required public hearing on the GSA Excess Tuition Payment referendum question.
Budget Review and Tax Preview
After the hearing, there will be
- a presentation on the 2025 budget (focusing on the municipal budget by major category, but also including the school and county tax budgets); and
- a preview of what approval of all Town Meeting articles would mean for the 2025 property tax mill rate, which is used to calculate property taxes on individual properties.
Q&A
In addition to addressing questions on any of the above, this is also an opportunity to ask any other questions about the Town Meeting articles outside of that business meeting.
