The Town of Blue Hill is seeking volunteers to serve on a committee to develop recommendations to the Select Board and Town of Blue Hill for building and property layout and design of the new public safety building at 30 Tenney Hill.
Specifically, the Select Board is looking for 3-4 committee members with demonstrated skills, experience or expertise in grant writing; historical architecture relevant to Blue Hill Village; responsible stewardship of natural resources; and/or project management and budgeting.
The committee process will be public and require significant commitment. All meetings will be public, posted on the town calendar, and have an opportunity for public comment; meeting minutes will be recorded and posted on the town’s website once approved; and the committee will solicit public feedback in form of surveys, public hearings, and/or listening sessions to inform process and outcomes.
Prospective members should expect to attend at least 1-2 committee meetings/month and at least 1-2 subcommittee meetings/month; participate in public hearings and other public engagement; and otherwise dedicate 5-20 hours/month outside meetings.
If you are interested in serving on this committee, please complete the volunteer form (below) and email the completed form and a resume to awoog@bluehillme.gov, or bring the completed form and a resume to the Town Office, by Friday, November 21.
