AIM, the company which purchased the Bucksport Mill, is petitioning to abandon three dams, one of which has created Toddy Pond. As part of the process, AIM is required to hold a public meeting “consult” with property owners, abutting towns, and all other interested parties to determine whether any of them wish to assume ownership of the dam.
Although many questions remain unanswered, it is conceivable that this could be the only public meeting to ask questions, discuss, and express support for or opposition to the petition.
All interested parties are encouraged to attend.
