Toddy Pond Watershed Management District

As one of the four towns with property fronting Toddy Pond, the Town of Blue Hill voted in November 2025 to support the formation of the Toddy Pond Watershed Management District, a quasi-municipal entity authorized under state law to own and operate the dam that maintains Toddy Pond’s water levels and to support the overall health of the Pond’s natural habitat.

Under the legislation, the Blue Hill Select Board has the right to appoint one trustee to a nine-member board, with the other towns appointing four trustees and the waterfront property owners electing four trustees.

The District will establish a website and other means to communicate with both waterfront property owners and the general public in the four towns; a link to that website will be posted when available.
