Toddy Pond District Formation

Attached is a “joint statement” from the trustees of the Toddy Pond Watershed Management District and the Alamoosook Lake Watershed Management District. The four towns with properties fronting these water bodies have offered to use their platforms (like the Town of Blue Hill website) to provide public communications for the districts until they are able to set up their own communications strategies and platforms.

Select Board Meeting

As a result of conflicting events for several Select Board members, the Select Board meeting to be held on Monday, December 8 will be moved up to 5:00pm and will have a very limited agenda.

The expectation is that the sole item on the agenda (which will not be separately published) will be signing the week’s disbursement warrants, and that all substantive, non-time-sensitive matters will be addressed at the Board’s next meeting on December 15.

Collins Response to Carbon Tax Letter

At the 2025 Annual Town Meeting, the Town directed the Select Board to communicate to state legislators, Members of Congress, Governor, and President of the United States that the town calls upon our Federal elected representatives to enact carbon pricing legislation to protect Maine from the costs and environmental risks of continued climate inaction.

Senator Collins recently responded to that letter; a copy of her response is available here.
