Last Call for Nomination Papers!

Nomination papers for candidates looking to appear on the ballot for April’s Annual Town Meeting will be due back to the clerk’s office by close of business on Monday, February 2nd, by mail or hand delivery. They can be taken out in person during office hours, or by email; please email your name and the position you are seeking to townclerk@bluehillme.gov. There will be one seat available on the Select Board, two on the Planning Board, and three on the School Board.

Part-Time Code Enforcement Officer or Deputy CEO Employment Opportunity available

$20-30/hr DOE. Duties include but not limited to:

  • Reviewing plans submitted with building permit applications
  • Issuing building permits to appropriate applicants
  • Inspecting buildings and other structures for structural safety, fire safety and sanitation

Job requirements: 

  • Obtain CEO certification within 12 months or hire or already certified
  • Familiar with applicable zoning codes and related laws and ordinances, B.O.C.A. building codes, and plumbing codes and permit regulations
  • Able to conduct field inspections, recognize violations and obtain compliance
  • Able to work well with contractors, workers, building owners, other municipal employees and the public
