Today, June 4, is the last day to request an absentee ballot for the June 9 Primary under normal circumstances, including in-office voting.
After today, any voter who needs an absentee ballot must fill out the attached form, which constitutes an oath that the circumstances preventing you from voting on election day were unforeseen and unavoidable. This is also true of anyone looking to vote early in office.

The Blue Hill/Surry Transfer Station scale is back up and running.

The Blue Hill Memorial Day Parade, scheduled for Monday, May 25, has been canceled due to the weather forecast.
The Blue Hill/Surry Transfer Station scale is currently closed awaiting a repair. The Transfer Station is still open for all transactions that do not require the scale. In the meantime, Ellsworth Waste Services (15 Industrial Rd, Ellsworth) can take demolition debris. We apologize for the inconvenience and are hoping to have it up and running again soon. We will update this post when the issue has been resolved.
The Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry solicits public comment on the below proposal for the installation of a series of seasonal floats in Salt Pond. Comments should be directed to Anja.Parlin@maine.gov and must be received by June 10.
