Reminder: Fire Station Open House

As a reminder, the Fire Department will hold an open house at the existing Blue Hill Fire Station on Water Street on Thursday, April 2 from 4:00-6:00pm.

This will allow residents and voters to see the current layout, condition, and learn about the Town’s concerns about the facility before the Annual Town Meeting on Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4.

Fire Station (current) Open House

The Fire Department will hold an open house at its existing location on Water Street on Thursday, April 2, from 4-6pm.

This open house is intended to provide Blue Hill residents with an opportunity to tour the facility and to understand the various challenges and shortcomings of the building. Members of the Fire Department will be available to answer questions about the current facility and the proposed move to a new location on Tenney Hill.

Amended Town Meeting Warrant

On March 25, the Select Board approved an amended warrant for Blue Hill’s Annual Town Meeting. The warrant:

  1. Added an article (Article 65) that had been inadvertently omitted from the warrant relating to naming the AA Little League field the “The Steven P. Johnson Memorial Field.”
  2. Specified the amount requested by the Blue Hill Public Library in Article 25.
  3. Corrected a clerical error in the Select Board and Budget Committee recommendations in Article 37.

The amended warrant is available here.

Open House: Public Safety Building

The Fire Department and Peninsula Ambulance Corps will hold an open house on Saturday, March 28 from 1:00-3:00pm at 30 Tenney Hill.

The open house is intended to provide members of the public with an opportunity to visit the proposed location of the new Public Safety Building, to review the plans to date for adjusting the interior of the existing building and the construction of an apparatus bay behind the existing building, and to hear why (and how) this site was chosen over others that were considered.
